Founding engineer (backend)
About the role
As a founding backend engineer, you build the scraping and data engine behind discovery — the systems that ingest, enrich, and serve millions of creator profiles fast and reliably. You'll work directly with the founders on the hardest infrastructure problems and own them end-to-end.
What you'll do
- Build and scale the Instagram scraping + enrichment pipeline — high-throughput, resilient, observable.
- Design the data models and APIs that power search and the product.
- Keep the system fast and reliable under real load and anti-bot pressure.
What we look for
- Strong backend Python (FastAPI, Taskiq) with PostgreSQL, Redis, and OpenSearch / ClickHouse.
- You like systems that scale and care about correctness, observability, and clean design.
