Most followed Korean Instagram accounts 2026: top 50 and their October change

These are the 50 most followed Korean accounts on Instagram, ranked by the follower count Virev's crawler read between October 26 and November 1, 2026. Each row also shows how the count moved since our first reading on October 6. Lisa of BLACKPINK leads with 105.9 million followers, and every account on the list belongs to a K-pop act, a singer or an actor.

October split the list in two. The 8 BTS accounts in the top 50 (the group account and all 7 members) gained 3.09 million followers between them, and Jungkook alone gained 746,782. Of the other 41 accounts we read on both dates, 34 lost followers, 2.68 million in all. Felix and Hyunjin of Stray Kids lost the most, 408,013 and 364,396.

How to read the numbers

• Followers is the count at our latest reading of the account, on November 1 for most rows.
• A star after the count means our latest reading was on October 26 or 28, because the crawler reads some accounts once a week.
• Change is the latest count minus the count at our first reading on October 6 or 7, so it covers 18 to 26 days.
• Our census of these accounts started on October 6, so we have no earlier reading to give a full 30-day change.
• "Korean" here means Korean nationals and the members of Korean groups, so Lisa, Felix, Jackson Wang, BamBam and Momo are on the list.
• Brands, TV channels, magazines, agencies, sports clubs and fan accounts are left out.

The 50 most followed Korean accounts on Instagram

BLACKPINK holds four of the top five spots, and the group account is eighth. BTS has eight accounts in the top 22. The first actor is Cha Eun-woo at 13th with 46.2 million followers, and IU at 17th with 33.5 million is the first account of a person who is not in a group. To reach the top 50, an account needed 16.7 million followers.

The most followed Korean women on Instagram

These are the top 20 women from the same ranking, without group accounts.

All four BLACKPINK members lead, then IU, Karina of aespa and Suzy. Kim You-jung gained 132,429 followers, the most of any woman on the list, and Jang Won-young of IVE gained 117,762. Karina lost 233,044, the most of any woman.

Who gained and who lost the most in October

Jungkook gained 746,782 followers in 19 days, from 25.7 million to 26.5 million, the largest gain in the ranking. Next came V with 532,119, j-hope with 389,393 and Jimin with 322,900. Four of the BTS bios name the album NORMAL.

Outside BTS, the group CORTIS gained 259,415 (+1.58%) and actor Kim Ji-won gained 222,767 (+1.56%). Kim Young-kwang went from 2.04 million to 2.31 million, a gain of 269,612, or 13.2%.

The losses fell on the most followed members of other groups. Felix lost 408,013 (-1.13%), Hyunjin 364,396 (-1.02%), Karina 233,044 (-1.05%) and Soobin of TXT 187,028 (-1.30%). Rosé and Jisoo each lost about 120,000. Lisa lost 79,207, which is 0.07% of her count.

Fastest risers with 300,000+ followers

We sorted 1,269 Korean accounts with 300,000 or more followers at their latest reading by their percent change since October 6. These are the 15 fastest. To see the day an account moved, open it in the follower tracker.

Actors Lee Joo-ahn and Jo A-ram gained the most in percent. Most of the other risers are creators who post their own reels: a beauty creator, a YouTuber, mukbang and pet accounts and a hair designer. Only 25 of the 1,269 accounts gained 5% or more.

October by account size

Two in three Korean accounts with 300,000+ followers ended October smaller than they started it, and the median change in every size group was below zero. In our Instagram follower growth study of 126,356 accounts of all sizes, the median account grew 0.93% a month and 24.2% lost followers. The Korean accounts here are larger and were read over a different period, so the two numbers do not measure the same thing.

How we built the ranking

1. We read every Instagram account with 200,000 or more followers that Virev's crawler checked from October 3 to November 2, 2026, and kept 5,613 whose name or bio has Korean text.
2. Many K-pop accounts write only in English, so we added accounts named in the bios of Korean accounts and accounts whose mentions come mostly from Korean accounts. That added Lisa, Jennie and 27 more accounts to the top 50.
3. Above the 50th account's count, we removed 19 accounts by hand: 7 brands, 3 football clubs and 9 people from other countries whose bios use Korean or whose fans are Korean.
4. For each account we took the first reading on October 6 to 10 and the last reading on or after October 25.
5. For the risers and the size table, we kept accounts with 300,000+ followers, a first reading on October 6 to 10 and a last reading on October 28 or later, and we removed fan pages and business categories. Some brand accounts may remain in the size table, and the risers were checked by hand.
6. An account with no Korean text and few Korean mentions in our data can still be missing.
